Hi, my name is Marley. I came to Feline Friends about 2 years ago when my owner brought me in to the animal hospital. I had a urethral obstruction, and was left by my owner to suffer for 2 days before I came to the doctor, just minutes away from death. My owner surrendered me over to Feline Friends who paid for my life-saving medical treatment (if you own a male cat and are not familiar with urethral obstruction, PLEASE speak to your doctor about it!) I had an angel watching over me that day for sure, my owner was about to have me put to sleep! I have since recovered and Im all better. (One thing you should know is that it is extremely important that I remain on a prescription diet for the rest of my life). Once the doctors catheterized me to clear the obstruction, they had me on lots of pain medications and sedatives. They were worried that I was only acting sweet as a result of my meds, afraid that after all of their hard work I might actually turn out to be a nasty cat. They were happy to discover that that couldnt be farther from the truth, Im an absolute sweetheart. Every morning when the kennel staff member opens my cage, I reach out and hug her, nuzzling my face against hers. Im super sweet to everyone who crosses my path, and boy do I make some funny noises! My ideal home? I deserve an owner who realizes the importance of regular trips to the vet, one who is observant and doesnt hesitate to seek medical attention when she suspects something is wrong with her kids. I like to stretch and play, exercise is very important to me. I dont think I would mind living with kids, especially if theyll give me lots of love. Ive been around dogs in the managers office, and I dont really have a problem with them either.
